Today is National Kindergarten Day and we love our Kindergarteners here at Youthland Academy! All of our learning centers are focused on helping children learn through discovery, developing the skills they need to thrive once they reach elementary school. Before your little one sets off to kindergarten, find out how our unique approach to learning can empower them to become lifelong learners.
Our Programs
Our thoughtful programs are designed to be nurturing, empowering, and fun! We know that every child is unique, which is why we will tailor our programs to be exactly what your child needs. No matter their age or class level, your child will be in a welcoming environment that feels like home.
Our Infant Program
Our infant program is for children who are 6 weeks to 1 year. This program focuses on discovery and development, in an environment designed for exploration. We strive to provide a comfortable, home-like atmosphere that will ease the transition into school.
Our Toddler Program
As little ones begin to move and explore, our toddler program is there to help them discover and learn. We incorporate numerous activities including building toys, art, and circle games, to help your child discover writing, drawing, and music.
Our Preschool Program
Our preschool program is packed with activities that foster science, math, art, vocabulary, and social skills. We strive to capitalize on the natural curiosity that comes at this age, helping children to grow, explore, and thrive.
Our Before and After School Programs
Just because the school day ends, doesn’t mean that the learning needs to stop. Our before and after school programs combine fun and learning, helping your child to be successful in school. We offer a welcoming, safe place, for children to explore their developing skills. We even help with homework for those in kindergarten and beyond!
About National Kindergarten Day
National Kindergarten Day is celebrated annually each year on the birthday of Friedrich Wilhelm August Frobel who founded the first Kindergarten in Germany in 1837. It is a day to celebrate the value of play and this very special year of schooling that acts as the bridge between home and the child’s education. It is during this year that children are able to explore their own interests including art, dance, and literature… this is something that should always be celebrated!
